Email subscription topics

Configuring email topics allows subscribed contacts to choose which emails they want to receive and which they want to unsubscribe from.

Giving contacts control over which emails they receive protects deliverability and allows contacts to unsubscribe from specific email topics without unsubscribing from all emails.


Managing Email Topics

  1. Navigate to Settings > Emails > Email Topics.

  2. Click Add email topic.

  3. In the popup modal:

    1. Enter a topic name (e.g. Newsletter, Product announcements)

    2. Enter a description (e.g. Learn about newly released features)

  4. Click Continue to save.

  5. The new topic is now saved and can be assigned to emails.

Add more email topics using the steps outlined above to give contacts more control over the communications they receive from your team.


Assigning Topics to Emails

  1. Navigate to Emails and select an email.

  2. Choose from the saved Topics in the dropdown menu.

  3. The topic is now assigned to the email.

  4. Click All Emails to exit.


Changing Subscription Preferences

All subscribed contacts are by default opted in to all email topics. Contacts can change their subscription preferences by clicking the link included in the footer of every email sent through Conversion.
