Templates make it easy for design and content teams to create consistent, reusable emails. Instead of rebuilding layouts and content from scratch every time, you can save time, maintain brand consistency, and speed up the design process.



Starting a New Template

When creating a new email or template, you can choose from several starting points:

  • My Templates
    Use templates you or your team have already saved for reuse. Perfect for recurring campaigns like newsletters, product updates, or nurture sequences.

  • Layout Templates
    Prebuilt layouts with proper padding, spacing, and structure. These provide a clean starting point for common email patterns, helping you design faster while staying aligned with best practices.

  • Curated Templates
    A collection of reference designs from some of the best SaaS companies in the world, rebuilt directly in Conversion. These are great for inspiration or to quickly adopt proven design patterns.

  • From Scratch
    Start with a blank canvas and build an email completely your way.


Saving Templates

Any email you create can be turned into a reusable template. Just click the three dots in the top-right corner and select Save as Template. Don’t forget to give it a clear name so your team can easily find and reuse it.



Magic Blocks, Snippets, and Variables

When you save an email as a template, Conversion preserves all Magic Blocks, Snippets, and Variables included in the design.

  • If a variable isn’t available for a recipient (for example, if you don’t have their persona stored), the system will automatically use the default fallback value.

  • This makes sure every template stays functional across your audience, even when data varies.

By combining templates with Conversion’s personalization features, you can create emails that are fast to design, easy to reuse, and still feel personal to every recipient.
